WESTSTAR LDV TO SUPPLY NEW AMBULANCES FOR MINISTRY OF HEALTH MALAYSIA

Weststar LDV Sdn Bhd Malaysia announces the distribution of its first batch of ambulances for the Ministry of Health today. These vehicles were handed over to Dr Haji Azman Abu Bakar, the Director of Health Department of Negeri Sembilan. Weststar LDV expects to fulfil further orders of these new and upgraded ambulances to replace the existing fleet of ambulances in the near future.
Weststar LDV ambulance is the most recently designed, modern and fully equipped ambulance fitted out to the Ministry's requirement for a multi purpose vehicle to serve its emergency services. This vehicle is equipped with a sophisticated on board life saving medical facilities. Its large interior and exterior compartments are fitted with heavy duty fire retardant thermal and acoustic insulation material to provide it with additional safety features. The ambulances are provided with all the standard medical supplies and equipments with the added feature of dual oxygen pipeline system, intravenous holders, and an integrated light and sound system.
Weststar LDV is expected to increase their sales in 2008 to replace all the old ambulances in its service at this moment, Executive Director of Weststar LDV, Syed Azlan Syed Ibrahim said. “Our ambulances are suitable for use by the emergency services as it provides ample space for the medical crew, specialized equipments and cargo at a very affordable and competitive price”.
Syed Azlan Syed Ibrahim further says that as these vehicles are assembled locally in Pekan, Pahang; the price of its manufacturing will be competitive not only for local, but for overseas market. “We have received orders for a substantial number of vehicles for the overseas market,” Syed Azlan said.
